  1. Not going to lie, Adon Olam was one of my favorite prayers growing up (and not just because it was immediately followed by grape juice, bread and lunch). So many different tunes, and the kids were called up to the bimah to participate with the rabbis. It was fun.
And now there’s a new tune to add to the collection. I love it (especially since it takes the place of “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys as a modern song to mix with the prayer).

      • It’s a good song and all, but it kind of feels a little corny to the generation that were still watching Pokemon and Sailor Moon when Backstreet Boys was popular. While “Africa” will never be the greatest song from the 80’s, it’s still beloved, and I think it’s a better tune for Adon Olam.

Speaking of Sailor Moon and Pokemon, did you check out any of those anime I recommended?
