Jewish Learning

I consider education to be a core aspect of my work as a rabbi, and have a great deal of experience teaching students from b’nei mitzvah age all the way up to rabbinical school students. Depending on my other work commitments, I am often available to provide individual or group instruction online in a number of areas of interest, including:

  • Introduction to Judaism
  • Jewish prayer/Siddur
  • Tanakh
  • Rabbinic Text — Mishnah, Talmud, Midrash, etc.
  • Kabbalah, Chassidut and Jewish mysticism generally
  • Gender and Judaism/Trans Torah
  • Mussar
  • Other subjects — ask if you’re interested and I’ll be happy to let you know if I am able to help you, or assist you in connecting with another teacher if not.

I offer a number of adult learning programs through my congregation, Temple Concord, all of which are available at no charge to anyone regardless of membership. Many of these programs are also accessible via Zoom (reach out to the temple office to sign up for emails). If you live outside the area, or are not a member of my congregation and looking for individualized instruction in an area of particular interest, reach out to me via my contact form and I will be happy to talk with you about my rates. I always try to be flexible to accommodate people’s individual financial circumstances.
