Rabbinic Work

So you’ve enjoyed or been inspired by something I’ve written? I’m so glad to hear that! As a writer and teacher it gives me an immense sense of fulfillment to know that something I’ve said has had an impact on somebody’s life. The real meaning of the work I do lies in the holy sparks my words have raised up in others, and the sparks that others have caused to rise up within me.

While for many years now this website has been an important way to share my teaching with the world, I also happen to be a full-time congregational rabbi at Temple Concord, a Reform Congregation in Binghamton, NY. If you live in our part of upstate New York, or even if you happen to be visiting our neck of the woods and need a safe and welcoming place to connect with Jewish Community, I hope you’ll consider stopping by. Who knows, you might even find your new spiritual home! We also make services and educational programs available on Zoom for folks who live further away.

From time to time people reach out to me looking to do some one-on-one Jewish learning, or even to study toward conversion to Judaism. I’m always happy to do stuff like that, as time allows. Feel free to reach out via my contact page here.
